Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette!

Purchased by me

So after selling out in its debut, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection is back on Nordstrom.com. The collection consists of 4-pcs: Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette, Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blush, Pillow Talk Lip Cheat Lip Liner (the product that started the craze) and Matte Revolution Lipstick in shade Pillow Talk.

The entire collection is built around the iconic pink shade, Pillow Talk with a distinctly feminine yet sultry vibe.

“On everyone’s lips right now, the return of Charlotte’s WORLD-FAMOUS, BEST-SELLING Pillow Talk Look has caused makeup MANIA across the globe! Featuring the award-winning, dreamy nude-pink lip liner and matte lipstick that launched to worldwide acclaim as the true beauty definition of ‘lips that lead astray’. Plus, discover the next chapter of the Pillow Talk love story with the universally-loved eyeshadow palette and powder blush. This is Charlotte’s little black dress of makeup looks that suits everyone aged 18-80!”

The only piece I snatched up was the Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette $53. I skipped the Pillow Talk blush because I have two CT blushes that I seldom reach for.

The Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette features 2 matte shades and 2 shimmer shades in rosy neutrals: Prime, champagne pink, Enhance, matte dusky rose, Pop, rose gold sparkle and Smoke, soft matte brown. This palette is not intended to provide a dramatic look, it’s more subtle than that. It makes a great quad for a soft, feminine, romantic look. Like Charlotte’s philosophy, it is designed to enhance your natural beauty. You won’t be taking that disco ball out of retirement for this quad.

The shadows are not named instead, they are named for how they are meant to be used for. Prime, the champagne pink has a very light shimmer–no chunky glitter here. Enhance is a matte dusty coral, Pop is a sparkly rose with gold and copper sparkle, Smoke is a pretty fawn brown with rose undertones. Pop has sparkle but still is not over the top—it works best applied with a finger or a wet brush for maximum intensity. All the shades lean warm with rose undertones.

For this look, I applied all the shades the way Charlotte suggests: Prime on lid, brow bone and inner corner, Enhance in the upper crease and under the lower lash line, Smoke in outer corner. I used Cargo Swimmables Eye Pencil in Black Sea and Buxom Lash Volumizing Mascara.

Then I just added the sparkly Pop shade to the lid.

There is no denying Charlotte Tilbury has pearl-clutching prices, ($53 for an eyeshadow quad) but I have to say, these shadows blended effortlessly without getting muddy and the texture of each shadow in the quad is a delight.

I wouldn’t say the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette is a must-have, though I am enjoying it very much. I don’t have anything in my collection with these warm rosy shades. I’m really cuckoo for the matte Enhance and Smoke, I will get a lot of use from them—they make fab transition shades. If you like muted, sophisticated, feminine looks, this quad is perfect!
