FabFitFun Spring 2019 Box!

Press Sample

This box was provided by AmbassadHER, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

FabFitFun is a subscription box with beauty, fitness, tech and lifestyle products. The seasonal boxes feature full-size products, valued at over $200 for a cost of only $49.99. FFF aims to motivate, inspire and excite all types of people – from the new college student to the new mom and me! Ships to the US and Canada.

Each season, FabFitFun features a different design for their box. The Spring box is designed by Helen Dardik, a Canadian designer and illustrator. Her trip to Arizona inspired the box with its’ intricate cactus graphics. I absolutely love the design and am going to keep the box to repurpose somehow just because I think the box is so beautiful and unique.

Also included is a mini-magazine that details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers. The Spring edition has skincare articles, recipes and an interview with Venus Williams.

On to the contents of the box!

I received this gorgeous floral print robe which features a high-low hem by Show Me Your Mumu. It’s a loose short-sleeved kimono style made with a beautiful, bold pink floral pattern. The high-low hem is a very nice touch,I want to make sure my shorty robes cover my bum! It’s a soft, lightweight knit making it perfect for the warmer months. Retail value $84–that is way more than the cost of the box for just one item!

Next, are these cool oversized aviator sunnies from Quay Australia $60. They feature a black metal frame with smoke colored lenses. I’ve had Quay sunglasses in the past and they are good quality so I’m thrilled with these and I hope they will up my ‘cool factor.’ Ha ha! These also came in a cat eye style.

After the long, long winter season my skin needs some help and the next 3 products will work beautifully.

First I’ll use this Daily Concepts Daily Detox Massaging Brush all over my body. This dry brush works to stimulate circulation and eliminate dead skin cells. You can use it dry or wet but I prefer to use it dry before getting in the shower. I’ve tried other dry brushes but this one has the addition of massaging nodules which feel really nice and are better for circulation. You can customize it a bit by varying the pressure. I like a medium scrub, but apply less pressure for less. Retail $18

Next, I hop in the shower along with Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub $24. I’m a big fan of Manna Kadar cosmetics but have never tried her body care. That coupled with the fact that I am a scrub addict and this was made for me! It has a subtle sweet and fruity scent and doesn’t leave me or my shower in an oil slick. Seriously, this smells so divine I want to take a shower 3 times a day. Another win!

Y’all know my infatuation with citrus scents so I’m delighted to receive this Lavido Aromatic Body Lotion in Orange and Bergamot to finish off my body care ritual. The scent is luscious though it comes on strong and takes a bit of time to soften. The cream absorbs nicely and is quite moisturizing. 4.05 fl oz, retails for $19

Dr. Brandt Needles No More No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel $42. This HAS to be making the rounds of the sub boxes because this is the third tube I received! And though I like it, I don’t need 3 tubes! This advanced formula provides a tightening effect and smooths the under-eye to visibly reduce the appearance of under-eye bags and dark circles for an immediately brighter, well-rested look. And I mean, immediately! It’s thicker than other creams, but it de-puffs like no other, plus it plays well with foundation and concealer. It’s a orangey/flesh shade which is supposed to correct dark circles.

OUAI Leave-In Conditioner detangles, moisturizes and smooths hair. It also has heat protection for all those heat devices we use on our hair. The scent is like a beautiful perfume but some might find it TOO much. I have to use it sparingly because of my fine hair but it does a good job of moisturizing my ends and detangling after shampooing. What I find strange (but I love) about it is that it is a cream in the container, yet delivers a fine mist. Awesome! Retail $26.

Ciate LONDON Extraordinary Translucent Setting Powder $22. While the popular ‘baking’ concept isn’t for this old gal, I do like to use a setting powder with some of my foundations. This one is exquisitely light and sheer making it ideal for setting concealer or makeup. It also works when swept over the t-zone to help minimize pores. Use with a big fluffy brush for the best results.

I received this Spring FabFitFun box through AmbassadHER so it was not curated for me but I couldn’t be happier! As a regular member, there are some items that are standard in every box and others you can choose. For example, every member received the OUAI leave-in conditioner, Dr. Brant eye cream and Manna Kadar body scrub. All the other items, members have a choice of 3 items to choose from. Even though I didn’t get a chance to choose, I am delighted with the items I got and with the spa-like theme! This box has a $295 value and costs only $49.99!

I’m so impressed with the Spring FabFitFun box I think I’m going to subscribe. It’s just once a quarter so for me $50 4 times a year is affordable.
