Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask Review

The new Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask gets high marks from me. Not only did it bring out my inner Mad Scientist, but look what it promises to do.

My skin felt soft, supple and strangely hydrated after using this mask, plus it’s just plain fun! I felt as though I was an important scientific researcher searching for the secret to eternal youth. Just go with it, okay?

The mask is actually a kit you mix up yourself (hence the mad scientist part). It comes with six packages of powder, six tongue depressors for mixing, and a  measuring cup.

And now, Dr. Prime Beauty will take you through the steps to achieving plump, glowing skin. As you can see, the Doctor is dressed in the proper protective/sterile/scientist/lab researcher/geek/crazy old lady gear.

Step 1: Dress in the proper attire

Step 2

Step 2: Pour the powdered mask into a bowl–I used a throw-away plastic Ziploc bowl.

Step 3: Pour water into the measuring cup and mix into the powder with the tongue depressor.

It should look like this after mixing:

Step 4: Apply mask using either the tongue depressor or your fingers. I tried the tongue depressor but found I couldn’t get an even application, so I used my fingers instead. And you thought the gloves were just a prop! You’ll need to work fairly quickly. The mask is very wet, thick and has a very nice cool sensation.

Step 5: Leave mask on for 15-25 minutes. I left it on for about 25 minutes–the mask doesn’t tighten or harden so it’s very comfortable and the cooling sensation felt very refreshing on the hot day I tried it. It doesn’t exactly dry, but it does ‘set up.’ You can tell when it ready to come off because the edges will look dry.

It's ready to peel off--you can see the edges are dry

While it doesn’t peel off in one full piece, it’s fun peeling it off in pieces. As a child I would purposefully put Elmer’s glue on my palm, wait for it to dry and then peel it off. I’m sure this reveals some dark disturbed part of my psyche, but whatever.

My skin loves this mask as much as I do, if you want or need an instant skin boost, this is the mask for you. My skin felt really hydrated and smooth, most masks leave me reaching for the nearest moisutrizer, but not so with the Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask. The intense hydration combined with the cool, refreshing feel makes this mask ideal for women over 40.  I honestly cannot think of a down side to this mask–it’s fun, gives my skin a nice drink of water, and the kit retails for $38 for 6 masks.

Bottom Line: Dr. PB recommended! A super fun mask that hydrates, brightens, is fun to use and economical at a little over $6 a mask! I will definitely continue to use this once a week for a relaxing skin boost.  A prescription for your own Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask, can be found at  Blissworld.com or Sephora.com

  1. That mask looks too fun! I have to try it. When I was a kid I used to make “fake nails” with Elmer’s glue on my desk at school.

  2. The things some people will do to write an amazing review! You are hysterical.
