BreezeBalm is a lanolin based lip balm that originated in New Zealand. Sammy, the creator of the Breeze Balm brand, has reinvented a 60-year-old family recipe and turned the product into a worldwide sensation.
Starting off as a lip ointment sold in her family’s pharmacy in Dunedin, New Zealand, Breeze Balm is rich in moisture and is now available in multiple scents and fun brightly colored packaging.

I chose Pineapple Pash, a sweet fruity scent that transports me to a tropical beach. It smells just like juicy pineapple and screams of summer! Though it’s not vegan, the BreezeBalm’s key ingredient is lanolin that is ethically sourced from sheep’s wool. As sheep’s wool grows continually, it is necessary that it be sheared annually, as this avoids the fleece becoming soiled and excessively hot and heavy for the animal. Lanolin is the by-product of this shearing and washing process and is animal cruelty-free.

Lanolin is highly emollient and softens and moisturizes the skin by creating an oily layer that traps water in, this in turn also decreases itching and flaking of the skin. Lanolin is able to do this as it cleverly mimics the lipids of the human skin, making it the most skin compatible ingredient available.

BreezeBalm feels amazing on the lips–no waxy or sticky feel; it seems to melt into the lips. Sammy says sit can also be used on other spots like dry cuticles, a sore nose from a cold, minor scrapes, etc. I’ve been using it on my dry cuticles and it works great. It also works over matte lipsticks for some shine or under to moisturize. The slanted tip makes application a breeze.

  1. I’m using mine right this minute. Love the pineapple

  2. I almost reviewed this today but I’m glad I haven’t yet since your review is outstanding. I’m the one who always says “fragrance free” but the pineapple is so delightful.

Ooh, this sounds so perfect! I don’t know how I’m going to choose between pinapple and coconut though…
