A palette of flower-garden-inspired shades brings a fresh vibrancy to face and fingertips in the limited-edition CHANEL Summer 2011 Collection, LES FLEURS D’ÉTÉ DE CHANEL. I think the star of the collection are the bronzers and beauty bloggers of the pale persuasion have been extolling it’s virtues for months. I opted for the Dior Aurora bronzer from that summer collection but I will probably regret not indulging in Chanel. Oh well,  c’est la vie. The only thing I couldn’t resist was the stunning eyeliner of all things! Read on to see the entire collection and pictures of the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting eyeliner in Rose Platine (silvery rose).

SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL MOISTURIZING BRONZING POWDER– Bronze Rosé for fair complexions and Bronze Corail for deeper or tanned complexions offer the perfect complement to sun kissed skin and enhance a natural glow. $50.00 What’s nice about these is that you can mix the separate stripes together or use separately.

LES 4 OMBRES QUADRA EYESHADOW in LILIUM– Shades include Deep Green, Light Green, Grey and Beige. $57.00 I normally would have jumped at this, but the bright green just doesn’t work for me. If greens work for you, this is a lovely palette with the typical Chanel quality.

LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES GLOSSIMER–  Lips shine, as if kissed by the morning dew, in summery shades of coral and rosy pink, perfectly flattering summer-bronzed skin.  Shown are Aurore, Pink Peony and Pensee $28.50. These are all very sheer with sparkles.

LE VERNIS NAIL COLOUR– Radiant shades of yellow (Mimosa) and pink (Morning Rose) are tempered with the most subtle petal pink (Beige Petale). Mimosa is already the must-have nail shade of the summer. $25.00

STYLO YEUX WATERPROOF– Long Lasting eyeliner in Rose Platine (silvery rose) $29.00. The description is spot on. It takes on a different shades in different light–it can look taupe or silver or even lavender. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work for me–I think it would be stunning on dark eyes, but on my light eyes it just gets lost. That said, this eyeliner is not supposed to be dark like most–it’s meant for a subtle effortless summer look.

ROUGE COCO HYDRATING CRÈME LIPCOLOUR in SARI DORÉ(Amber Apricot) $30.00. I almost caved on this color but went for Liberte′ instead. I may regret that too!

  1. I haven’t bought anything Chanel in years – so pricey! But I saw a recent photo of myself which reminds me that the lipstick is so very lovely.

  2. Very pretty but the collection after this for fall is stunning so I’ll save my money for that one. (Save?? Ha, that’s weird for me to say that!)
