Honey Belle makes handcrafted products with natural, organic ingredients and a lot of love. Founders and creators of Honey Belle, Iris and Calvin have a mission:  “Generate health and self-confidence in individuals by producing clean, green, and highly-effective products. We believe in compassion, and making a difference in the community.”

After taking a wrong turn and witnessing Skid Row in Los Angeles first-hand and working with a medical group that travels the world on medical missions to underdeveloped countries such as Guatemala, Nepal, Peru, Vietnam and Burma, Iris knew people needed her help. That’s why the project #soapsforsouls was created. For every soap purchased, they donate a soap to someone in need so they can be clean and to help stop the contamination of diseases. Bravo!

Among the many soaps and products that Honey Belle makes are the Loofah Soaps. These unique soaps cleanse, nourish, and scrub all at the same time! They slice a loofah into 1-inch slices then dip them into the soap. The brand uses a combination of coconut oil and glycerin to keep skin moisturized and healthy. The natural, unbleached eco-friendly sponge inside exfoliates and gets rid of dead skin, while the Glycerin, a natural humectant retains moisture to keep skin soft. These soaps come in 8 fabulous scents and they work well too! The base is free of chemical detergents and gentle enough for people with skin conditions and sensitive skin.

I was able to try Rose, with soft floral rose notes and Green Tea Cucumber, a fresh and calm soothing cucumber scent with hints of green tea. The first time I used this soap, the loofah felt harder than I expected and it was a bit scratchy but it didn’t hurt. The loofah softens up the more you use it, so when starting out, use it on rough spots like feet, knees, elbows, etc., it will soften up with use. As the soap disappears through scrubbing and usage, the loofah will be left over– Iris suggests you use the leftover loofah to clean your shower, tub or sink! Don’t you love multi-use products?

At $8 each, these soaps are fun and you can feel good that you are helping others. There are two different 4-packs that make great gifts (you can even divide them up) for $28. The floral/fruity one comes with Lavender Rain, Sweet Jasmine, Rose, and Citrus; and the Refresh/Relax set comes with Sandalwood Patchouli, Eucalyptus Peppermint, Green Tea Cucumber, and Charcoal Bamboo. Dare I mention these would also make perfect stocking stuffers! Too early?

Honey Belle’s skincare line provides cruelty-free and non-toxic products to keep your body feeling healthy and hydrated. You can purchase Honey Belle Loofah Soaps on their website and now in Ulta Beauty both online and in stores in 3 of their most popular scents: Eucalyptus Peppermint, Lavender Rain, and Green Tea Cucumber.

Honey Belle has lots more to offer and I there are many more products I want to try. Honey Belle is a natural Indie company that is worth taking a look at!
