Winter not only brings cold weather but dry air i.e.: car heater, wind, fireplace etc. which plays havoc with your skin especially for us over 40 ladies. Add the stress of the holidays and you have dry, stressed and irritated skin. Chronic stress deprives skin of nutrients, moisture, and oxygen. This causes the skin to become dry, less supple and more prone to irritation, inflammation and premature aging. No worries I have a solution! In addition to your daily skincare routine, you’ll want to add a booster….or two.

Dr. Brant Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask ($69) revitalizes, hydrates and boosts radiance– just what your dull lackluster winter skin needs! The potent formula was inspired by the most popular facial in Dr. Brandt’s practice and takes just three minutes for full effect.

Apply a thin layer to damp skin after cleansing.  I gotta tell you beauties, this could be addicting! The mask comes out of the pump as a cream then after a few seconds it starts to foam up and you can feel the oxygen spheres start to pop kind of like pop rocks on your skin but it doesn’t hurt! Leave on 3-5 minutes or until all the bubbles pop and rinse with warm water. Your skin will instantly feel rejuvenated and look more luminous. I really love using this for an instant boost of radiance–good thing it’s safe enough to use 2-3 times a week because I’m hooked! Dr. Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask  also works on fatigued skin so it’s perfect for the busy holiday season!

My next trick for tired skin is skyn ICELAND Icelandic Relief Eye Cream ($45) – I am constantly on my quest to find the perfect eye cream. The quest may be over. After beauty blogging for almost six years, I can tell you no one eye cream does absolutely everything but skyn ICELAND Icelandic Relief Eye Cream comes close. The formula is designed with potent anti-aging peptides to help minimize the appearance of wrinkles and soothe fragile skin prone to the ravages of physical and mental stress. Ingredients include: Ingredient: Shea Butter, Jojoba, Vitamin E, Dimethicone, Antioxidants and Aloe Vera. The hydration is superb without being the least bit greasy. It absorbs beautifully and even has a slight cooling effect to battle puffiness. The best thing about this eye cream is the texture; it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. It has a gel like feel but it also has a bounce to it. You need only a teeny tiny bit morning and night so the jar will last forever. I haven’t used it long enough to speak to eliminating crow’s feet but I don’t expect any eye cream to perform miracles. I love the deep hydration, the non-greasy feeling and the soothing effect it has.
