Fenty Beauty is Here!

Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after trying to find products that worked across all skin types and tones. With Rihanna’s mandate of inclusivity, Fenty Beauty offers a wide range of products for traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.

Just like Rihanna, the brand is both edgy and feminine, with a complexion-focused product assortment developed to work together and provide everyone with Rihanna’s real-life method for killer radiance, The Fenty Face. “The Fenty Face was created for women of all skin tones, of all personalities,” she says. “These steps are key to starting your makeup, no matter the look you’re going for. This is where the fun begins.”

For Rihanna, the secret to radiance lies in the very first step of the Fenty Face, a soft matte filt’r—because no matter your skin type, adding glow on glow = unwanted shine. The second step? Layer your highlight for strategically-placed glow—it’s all about lighting up where you want. Lastly, get ahead of shine by blotting on the fly, wherever and whenever; Rihanna believes that being photo-ready means being shine-free. Tested backstage, on stage, and in real life, The Fenty Face is the key to unlocking all of makeup’s limitless possibilities. This process is at the core of this 91-sku line, which includes 40 shades of Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation; 1 universal Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer; 30 magnetic Match StixSkinsticks, in both matte and shimmer finishes to contour, correct, conceal, highlight and blush; 6 cream-powder hybrid Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters for face and eyes; Invisimatte Blotting Powder and Paper; 1 universal lip gloss known as Gloss Bomb; and a variety of application tools.

In addition to creating every detail of each product in her cosmetics collection, Rihanna also personally appointed three prestigious makeup artists to represent Fenty Beauty around the world. This Global Artistry Team includes James Kaliardosas Resident Artist, and Priscilla Ono and Hector Espinal as Global Makeup Artists.

I have my eye on this little goodie. Trophy Wife, is a 24-karat yellow gold shade. You can press it on as a highlighter or dust it loosely over your eyes for a pretty, glittery look.

Are you going to try Fenty Beauty? What are your thoughts?

Eager to check it out in person at Sephora!

  2. Firenze McCowald says

This sounds like an amazing line of products! It’s hard to find those elusive universal colors/shades and esp. hard to match certain skin tones, so I am glad Rihanna has decided to try to take on this challenging task!

  3. I have heard about her new beauty/makeup line and it looks great because it has so many matches to skin tone.

  4. I am seriously loving the packaging of this brand. I am so sad though that my sephora in town hasn’t gotten any of her products and same with the two sephoras I went to in Chicago! I might have to order it online!

  5. I really hope they are cruelty free. I think they are, but they won’t write back!

  6. I haven’t seen these products yet, and had no idea that she had any sort of beauty line. I will have to re check our Sephora.

  7. I’m glad that someone has created a line with so many shades of foundation. As much as I love having a wide range for myself, I know others struggle. I’m concerned that the foundation stick will be too drying though.

  8. I love the story behind why the brand was started, but I haven’t really explored it. Nothing stands out to me yet.

I might pick up the highlighter!

  10. I think it’s great when makeup lines try to accommodate as many skin tones as possible. It’s crazy when certain lines will just have light, medium and dark. That leaves most people out. It’s so hard to find a good color match. So it’s great to have brands with so many options

  11. To be honest I have not heard of gentry beauty. I will definitely check this out since I always have problem finding that right make up for my skin tone. Thank you

  12. I bought a few pieces to try!

I am IN LOVE with this line. I went to at least 6 sephoras in my area however, and my shade is completely sold out. I am so happy that I won’t have to mix various foundations to now achieve my perfect shade. RiRi came through on this one. I just need Sephora to do the same, and come through and stock the shelves.

  18. I’ve heard such amazing things about this line! I’m actually really eager to try it and I haven’t felt that way about a launch in a very long time. It’s so gorgeous!

  19. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about her beauty line and would love to give it a try! i’m definitely interested in some of the shadows.

I bought some Fenty products when I was at Sephora last, but I think the foundation ended up being too dark after it sat on my skin for a little while. I love the texture and shimmer of the gold highlighter!
