Summer makeup with Milani

Summer makeup is better when it’s light and glowy. We want products that are breathable especially with the heat that the summer of 2021 is producing. An alternative to foundation is a skin tint, something that will help cover flaws yet look natural. A great alternative is from Milani – their new Glow Hydrating Skin Tint!

The coverage of this is sheer to light. It all depends on you. I personally use just the smallest amount, enough to even out the redness and sunspots but keep me looking a little dewy. I want my skin to look like it’s mine and mine alone. Don’t look at me and see foundation! Look at me and see healthy skin.

What makes MILANI GLOW HYDRATING SKIN TINT unique is that it contains 29% squalene which is a skin quenching electrolyte + coconut water blend. They tell me that this helps prevent hydration loss and lock in moisture. Even though the temps are steamy here my face looks pretty good even after 6-8 hours of wearing this skin tint.

I really like how easy it is to blend and how little I can get away with. My favorite application tool with it is the YUBI brush since it helps melt it into my skin. Glow Hydrating Skin Tint is available in 8 shades from fair to deep. I’m wearing the lightest, 110 Fair to Light. At $11.99 for this 1.0 fl oz tube it’s a great frugal find.

Milani has confirmed they do not test their products or ingredients on animals or ask others to test on their behalf. Their suppliers also do not test on animals, nor do they allow their products to be tested on animals when required by law.

The other product that Milani sent was one of their new Color Fetish Shine Lipsticks. Great for summer since it’s a combination feel of lip balm and lipstick. Shiny lips make me feel youthful and the Fetish Shine Lipsticks fit the bill perfectly. With my hair long right now I don’t wear a lot of gloss so Fetish Shine is a great alternative.

I was miserable with matte lipsticks personally but if you like them Milani also has half a dozen shades of Fetish Matte.

Milani Color Fetish Lipstick is a balm-like, ultra-moisturizing formula with an 85% blend of nourishing oils for a buildable, sheer-to-medium pop of color. On the Milani website they are $8.99 but you can also get 15% off there. Different stores like Ulta sell them for less ($6.29). That’s a treat! A balm like lipstick that lasts a good amount of time for that price is a true bargain. I have 110 which is described as a peachy nude.
