Get The Look: Make Up For Ever at Mara Hoffman-New York Fashion Week

MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as key make up artist for the Mara Hoffman Fall/Winter 2012 show during New York Fashion Week. Lottie drew inspiration from the 90s and wanted the look to have a nomadic desert-like feel with sun kissed skin that glowed with metallic highlights.

Skin: Lottie first applied MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation to give the models a flawless canvas, and then sculpted the cheeks using MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Bronze on the hollows with MAKE UP FOR EVER Brush #55N. For a well-blended, sun kissed glow she then applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Shine On Powder from the top of the cheeks to the temples. To remove excess shine, she used MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder in the T-Zone area.

My notes: I adore this foundation and the HD Microfinish powder. See my reviews here.

Eyes: The eyes were shaded using MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #17 and MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #14. Next, Lottie blended the shadows with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #922, #930, and #946. For a metallic pop, Lottie used a wet brush and applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Metal Powder #2 to the corner of the eyes, and then lined inside the water lines with MAKE UP FOR EVER Khol Pencil #9. She finished the eyes with a thick coat of MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash mascara.

Eyebrows: Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Brow Seal for a simple yet groomed brow.

Lips: MAKE UP FOR EVER Glossy Full #10 was added to the lips to create a natural look with shine. My notes: this gloss is in my bag at ALL times—no lie.
