Hairstory Styling Products

Yesterday, I told you about Hairstory’s New Wash, a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. Today I’m going to focus on a few of the Hairstory styling products. These 3 products will create volume and create the summer beachy waves you crave. I’ve been rockin’ this super easy hairstyle and getting tons of compliments. Since I air dry it’s also much better for the health of my hair.

Beachy waves with Hairstory
Hairstory Undressed

After I shower, I spray Undressed Texture Spray $38 on my towel dried hair. Undressed is a sea salt spray without the salt! I quit using sea salt sprays because they are sticky and drying. Undressed is perfect for the beachy waves I love without being sticky or making my hair crispy. Instead, my fine hair has soft touchable waves and it isn’t stripped of moisture. After spraying, I scrunch up my hair to bring out the natural wave and let air dry.

Wet hair after using Undressed

I’m so in love with this product! I could never quite achieve the soft waves I crave with any other texturizing product. $38 is pricey but for me, but it’s worth it. I’ve cut down the time I spend styling and blow drying and have a look that is nearly effortless.

Hairstory Lift

Lift Thickening Spray $38 is a versatile styling mist that adds volume. It’s a special blend of thickening, shape-shifting resins, and fast-vanishing spirits that helps hair defy gravity. I use it on my roots to add volume. It also works to plump up a ponytail or add a little “starch” to lock in shape when heat styling. My hair is shoulder length and the longer it is, the flatter it is on top so this a great product to add some volume there. I have found this works best if used with a blow dryer or a diffuser.

Hairstory Powder

Powder $36 is a translucent dry shampoo with a genius delivery system. Instead of a spray, the non-aerosol nozzle of the bottle folds up and down as well as locks and unlocks. The result is a ‘pouf’ instead of a concentrated spray. I then rub in with my fingers. Microfine granules of vegetable and mineral matter are invisible to the eye but feel silky.

Powder doesn’t leave my hair with a dirty, gritty feel which is my complaint with most dry shampoos. It also gives me more volume than most dry shampoos, volume that actually lasts more than 5 minutes. This is what I use between washings to fluff up my hair, absorb oil and refresh the style. It does have a pleasant scent but I don’t notice it after the ‘pouf’. I also like to use it after my hair has air dried to add more volume to the roots.

Zea Mays (Corn) Starch,Tapioca Starch,Kaolin,Silica Silylate,Silica,Rosa Canina Fruit Extract,Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract,Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract,Equisetum Hiemale Extract,Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract,Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract,Rosa Centifolia Flower Water,Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil,Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil,Glycerin,Water/Aqua/Eau. Fragrance/Parfum:Cananga Odorata Flower Oil,Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil,Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil,Rosa Damascena Flower Oil,Myroxylon Pereirae (Balsam Peru) Oil,Guaiacum Officinale Wood Oil,Pelargonium Graveolens Oil,Citronellol,Eugenol,Geraniol,Linalool,Tocopherol,Phenoxyethanol,Alcohol.

Just like with Hairstory New Wash, there is a quiz where you answer questions to find the right styling products for your type of hair. My quiz recommended these 3 products and it couldn’t be more spot on.

Bottom Line: I’m quite impressed with the Hairstory line of styling products. These 3 that were recommended for me are perfect for my hair! The price is a bit high but I have a gazillion hair products that are cluttering up my bathroom because they don’t get work. I’ll gladly pay for something that really does work!
