No matter the season, my skin needs nourishment. As someone with dry, sensitive skin I also require products that don’t cause irritation.  Recently, I added some new bath and body items to my routine courtesy of Image Skincare’s Body Spa Collection. Each product in the line is designed to nourish and protect my delicate skin.

If you aren’t familiar with Image Skincare, as I wasn’t before trying this collection, it was created by an aesthetician and plastic surgeon. Together, this husband and wife team works together to develop products to tackle skin challenges. All of their products are paraben-free, cruelty-free and made in the USA.

Image Skincare’s Body Spa Exfoliating Body Scrub

Image Skincare's Body Spa Collection Exfoliating Body Scrub

Great skincare starts with a great body wash, especially one offering exfoliation. I like to slough off dead skin cells to help my dry skin look and feel soft and smooth. At the same time, I also need my exfoliator to be gentle enough not to dehydrate my skin. I found both in Image Skincare’s Body Spa Exfoliating Body Scrub, $25.

This dual-action scrub uses chemical and physical exfoliators, as well as moisture beads, to polish skin while also providing hydration. It also helps to improve cell turnover and allows your skin to better absorb body lotion.

The exfoliating body scrub has quickly become a favorite. It’s very gentle, lathers nicely, and has a lovely nutty, fruity scent. My skin always feels so refreshingly clean each time I use it.

Body Spa CELL.U.LIFT® Firming Body Crème

Image Skincare's Body Spa Collection Firming body creme

Once I’m done with my shower, it is time to treat my skin to Image Skincare’s Body Spa CELL.U.LIFT® Firming Body Crème, $70. I hate to admit it, but I have cellulite on my legs and butt. As much as I try to workout, eat right, and drink lots of water, the cellulite remains.

Developed by plastic surgeons, the Cell.U.Lift Firming Body Crème works to strengthen collagen fiber and reduce the appearance of lipid cells. In other words, it helps smooth skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite. It also hydrates skin as it treats it, so my skin feels extra soft.

After using this crème for a few weeks, I can’t really say I notice a difference in the appearance of my cellulite. My skin does feel soft and smooth and a bit firmer. It may take a few more weeks to really see results. Regardless, I do like the texture of the crème. It has a nice light texture and a refreshing peppermint scent. I also enjoy the cool tingling I feel on my skin when I use it.

Body Spa Rejuvenating Body Lotion

Image Skincare's Body Spa Collection Rejuvenating Body Lotion

For those parts of my body where I don’t place the firming body crème, I use Image Skincare’s Body Spa Rejuvenating Body Lotion, $30. This means bringing some hydration to my arms, elbows, back, knees, etc. These are the places where my skin tends to be the driest. I often get bumps on my arms and around my knees, while my elbows become dry and cracked.

The ultra-hydrating formulation of the body lotion helps to exfoliate and rejuvenate my skin. It also reduces signs of aging, keratosis pilaris, as well as dry, cracked skin. Although it does all these things for my skin, what it doesn’t do is cause irritation. This is a must for my sensitive skin.

Overall: If you can’t tell from my review, I would recommend trying Image Skincare’s Body Spa collection. This cruelty-free, paraben free skincare line is great for all skin types, especially if you have dry, sensitive skin like I do.

What are you using to keep dry skin at bay this winter?
