This exclusive collection hit stores last Saturday, June 15th. A collaboration between iconic Lavin designer Alber Elbaz and Lancôme, called Lancôme Show,  is a  match made in Haute Couture heaven and it totally works. “I spend my time backstage at the Lanvin shows, and when I come out at the end, all I see are people’s eyes,” Elbaz explained. Hence the design use of funky and playful eyes in the limited edition collection.

Four of Lancôme’s best-selling mascaras—Hypnôse Drama, Hypnôse Doll Lashes, Hypnôse Star, and Définicils are getting a style makeover courtsey or Elbaz. “This is where I’m looking today. Less generic and more handmade, more colorful,” he said. The mascara tubes bear animated designs in blue stars, red heart, pink polka dots and green eyes. I think it’s super smart to repackage Lancôme’s best sellers rather than create a new products. Why mess with perfection? Lancôme sells more mascara than any other brand in the WORLD!!!  The thing worth mentioning is that most brands really jack up their prices for designer limited edition collections, but Lancôme has only added a measely dollar to these mascaras. If you’re in need of a replacement, why not pick up one in this limited edition, one-of-a-kind packaging?

The rest of the nine-piece collection includes false lashes and four different Color Design Eye Shadow Palettes, each with a compact that matches the mascara designs.

Lancôme Show False Lashes ($35) – These limited edition lashes, designed exclusively for the Lancome Show, are chic for use everyday and glamorous when you are ready to pump up the drama factor of your look. Simply apply with the adhesive included, and delight in every wink.

Lancôme Show Hypnôse Star ‘IT Accessories’ ($51)--this is the Midnight Rush Eye Brightening All-in-One Shadow & Liner palette in the new packaging! Blue and black stars adorn this compact.

Lancôme Show Hypnôse Drama ‘IT Accessories’ ($51)- Taupe Craze makes an encore in this pink polka dot compact. I never have gotten around to purchasing this palette which practically has it’s own cult following, maybe now’s the time!

Lancôme Show Hypnôse Doll Lashes ‘IT Accessories’ ($51)- Rose Croquette is appropriately packaged with red hearts.

Lancôme Show Hypnôse Definicils  ‘IT Accessories’ ($51)- Mint Jolie is calling my name. Mint Green is having a moment and I’m right on board! This just may be a must-have for me and who could resist those big, bold lashes on the compact??

Bottom Line:  if you need to replace your mascara or have been waiting to buy that gorgeous palette, don’t wait any longer! These Limited Edition goodies will not be around long!

Does anybody else think that Alber Elbaz could be this generation’s Andy Warhol?
