Le Métier de Beauté CHEM60 Pro-Peel & GLOW10ai Mask Set – Guest Post

I recently had the amazing opportunity to try the new Le Métier de Beauté CHEM60 Pro-Peel & GLOW10ai Mask Set. However, the nearest  LMdB counter is 5 hours away (one way) from me so I enlisted the help of my darling new friend Ilsa from The Ultimate Makeup. You HAVE to check out her awesome blog–I am totally envious of her photography skills!

The Ultimate Makeup was kind enough to be my guinea pig and to report back to all of us her experience:

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to try the new Le Métier de Beauté CHEM60 Pro-Peel & GLOW10ai Mask Set which comes out in November. I headed to their counter at Neiman Marcus and was pampered with a fabulous facial. My skin is very dry and sensitive (their anti-aging creams are too much for me). I have a very specific skincare regime and seldom want to add anything new. However, I will be buying this new set when it comes out. Yup, it is that amazing.

I went to the Neiman Marcus Spa area with only tinted lip balm and moisturizer on before the facial. First, my skin was cleansed with the Le Métier de Beauté Daily Renew Crème Cleanser (GWP currently not available), followed by the Daily Renew Cleanser which has exfoliating properties and the Daily Refresh Tonic. After this prepping I got to try the new set.

Esther, the aesthetician, walked me through everything. The CHEM60 Pro-Peel is applied straight from the container as it is a squeeze bottle with a brush attached. Since my skin is sensitive, we decided to only leave the peel on for about 1 minute—you can do anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. I felt my face becoming slightly warmer but at no point did it sting or itch (even my usual Kate Somerville Clinic-to-Go pads make my face itch). The CHEM60 Pro-Peel is designed to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, increase hydration and remove dead skin cells revealing younger-looking skin. Although I am only 25 I have tons of fine lines on my forehead—stemming from a combination of my super dry skin and never relaxing my face muscles. The results were incredible! I could barely see my fine lines.

We followed with the GLOW10ai Mask which moisturizes the skin, improves hyperpigmentation, helps with irritation and restores the skin to a supple and smooth surface. It comes with a spatula, however Esther mentioned one would get a more even layer with fingers or a brush. The application is somewhat thick as it is designed to be peeled off once it dries. The drying time should be around 15 minutes but varies depending on the thickness of the application. The mask left my skin super hydrated and oh-so-soft. The facial was finished off with the Replenishing Daily Solution.

As you can see in my embarrassing bare-faced before and after pictures, my fine lines were dramatically reduced, pores tightened up, some spots lightened and my face had a beautiful glow (I apologize for the slight difference in lighting – the sun had moved). I got so many compliments! At $265 this may seem expensive, but taking into account that ONE peel and mask at the spa runs about $150 I feel this set is an extremely worthwhile investment. I expect the set to last me a long time. I absolutely recommend it even for sensitive skin –two days after and still no irritation or reaction. The results speak volumes!

If young Ilse can get these results, can you imagine what this at-home treatment can do for us over 40 ladies??

  1. I went with my blog partner and she had it done. I loved the look and feel of her face. It’s amazing stuff. She didn’t get to lie down and rest but she did feel like she’d had a day at the spa.

  2. Very nice! It really made a difference! 😀

  3. This looks so amazing!! I really must try it!!
