This time our warriors are battling it out over the best Makeup Look for Valentines Day. I decided to go the traditional route with shimmery eyes, barely there cheeks and a Valentine red lip. As I was writing this I realized I used a lot of my favorite or “all-star” products. Here’s what I used:

I started with Le Metier de Beaute Classic Flawless Foundation for a soft dewy look without looking shiny.

Next I used my very favorite concealer, bareMinerals Color Correcting Concealer around my eyes and for the broken capillary on my chin.

I applied a BECCA Turkish Rose Cream Blush for a barely there flush. This blush is a Prime Beauty all-star for it’s universal wearability and awesome texture.

A dab of Smashbox Halo highlighter on the tops of cheeks gives me a nice glow.

My brows got pampered with my Anastasia Brow Express kit. This kit has everything you need for groomed brows and more. It includes a brow highlighter, two shades of brow powder, wax to keep those pesky strays in place, an awesome stiff slanted brush and the best invention ever–brow stencils.

I used Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick in Champagne, a shimmery champagne beige. These are so simple to use and are absolutely bulletproof! Normally I would leave it at that, but since this is for a special occasion, I added a touch of Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Color in Gilded Moonlight.

Next I used Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner and winged it slightly. I love this eyeliner–even a klutz like me can actually accomplish a winged eye. Press lightly and you can get a line thinner than a slice of Denny’s bacon, apply more pressure and the line gets thicker.

I layered my mascara by using my new favorite CoverGirl Clump Crusher as a base, and then adding Lancome Hypnose Star mascara on top.

Red lips require a little extra prep. I lined my lips with clear Benefit d’Liner. This has been discontinued but any reverse liner will do and followed with Reviva Labs Vitamin E Oil Stick to smooth out my lip lines. I chose Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in Little Red Dress, a sheer red with silver micro-shimmer to complete the look.

And here’s the final look–nothing cutting edge, just a classic look.

Please excuse my flat hair, I was trying out some new hair care products that made my hair flatter than most American Idol contestents AND I tried using a headband. Um, yeah, total fail and the headband is so pretty!
