Merle Norman Daydream Collection

For the new Daydream in Color Spring 2020 Collection, Merle Norman was inspired by bright eyes, sweet pastels and daytime glow. Sweet hues and posh pastels create a variety of dreamy makeup looks.

The collection includes four new Lasting Cheekcolors blushes $23, two Lip Duets $33 and a 5 color Eyeshadow Stack $45.

Merle Norman Lasting Cheekcolors

This silky powder formula provides stay-true, fade-resistant color that glides on smoothly and blends easily. It leaves a soft, translucent finish. These four new shades are being added to the permanent collection.

Sweet Blossom

Sweet Blossom is a pale shimmery nude that adds a lovely pearl glow. On medium, to dark skin tones this can also be used as a pretty highlighter.

Peach Blossom

Peach Blossom is a matte true peach perfect for soft spring looks. Great for lighter skin tones.

Primrose Pink

Primrose Pink is a cool medium pink. It isn’t matte or shimmery, I would categorize it as a satin. It has a pretty subtle sheen and will be flattering to most skin tones.

Royal Rose

Royal Rose is a matte deep rose shade. It can be sheered out for pale faces like mine but personally, I think it is better suited for darker skin tones. Regardless, the shade is stunning!

Merle Norman’s Lip Duets combines two favorites in one must-have pair of coordinating shades! Full coverage Age Defying+ Lipcolor smooths lips and helps diminish signs of fine lines while increasing moisture retention. Lip Polish delivers 100-watt shine and intense luster for a creamy, non-feathering gloss.

Despite the name, Sweet Pea is actually a berry shade with a mocha gloss that has barely-there sparkle. The combination is really beautiful and of course, you can opt to use the shades separately too. The lipstick has good staying power and the gloss is non-sticky and adds just the right amount of shine. I would love to try Love Struck the other shade too. Limited Edition.

Last but not nearly least is the Limited Edition Shadow Stack Daydreams $45. Five pastel shades swivel into one compact. If you’re traveling, this little beauty saves a ton of space and still gives you options!

  • The shades include:
  • Butterfly Kiss (Semi-Matte), pastel pink
  • Fairy Kisses (Duochrome),
  • Sweet Nothings (Semi-Matte), peach
  • Dreamboat (Semi-Matte), cornflower blue
  • Forget-Me-Not (Luminous), delft blue

For this eye look, I used the Sweet Nothings (peach) in the crease, Butterfly Kiss (pink) shade on the lid, Forget Me Not (bright blue) on the outer third of the eye and Fairy Kisses on the brow bone. I found they work best with eyeshadow primer and a wet brush.

And the final look. I applied Primrose Pink to my cheeks and topped it off with Sweet Blossom. Sweet Pea lipstick and gloss completes the look.
