My two favorites from Thrive Causemetics

I have a love/hate relationship with THRIVE CAUSEMETICS. I want to love them but I find that their products only work for me 50% of the time. But what I like I really really like.

Here’s one big reason to support THRIVE CAUSEMETICS: They give back all year long, not just one month but they continue to raise money to help women thrive.

In honor of the life and legacy of Breonna Taylor, we are excited to announce a $100,000 donation from Thrive Causemetics to the University of Louisville Breonna Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund in Nursing. This donation was made possible by the Thrive Causemetics community, who contribute to our Bigger Than Beauty™ mission every time they purchase a Thrive Causemetics product. Through Thrive Causemetics’ Giving mission, every product purchased helps a woman thrive.

Honestly though Thrive Causemetics drives me crazy with all the ads they do. Half of my emails contain an ad for Thrive which makes me wonder how much more they could donate without that.

Needless to say I’ve bought several items from Thrive, I like their mission and I like certain products; today stars two favorites that I’ll buy again.

THRIVE Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is most likely their biggest seller. Not only does it get a lot of their advertising power but the word on the street is really good about this mascara. What makes it different? Our revolutionary high-performance formula is powered by Flake-Free Tubing Technology™ for voluminous, show-stopping lashes that won’t clump, flake or smudge while Orchid Stem Cell Complex™ encourages + supports longer, healthier-looking lashes, powered by plant stem cell technology.

I’ve had both full size tubes and travel size. When Thrive was just getting started several of the beauty subscriptions would send out the travel size, always to my delight. While I wear this in Brynn (black) Thrive’s mascara is available in brown and a deep blue. If you are someone who needs brown mascara this should have you jumping for joy. So few brands know what to do with brown.

I don’t have wonderful lashes. Mine are short and straight but I use an eyelash curler every time I apply mascara. With Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara I feel like I have visible lashes. Ones that help make my eyes stand out. I can only build it up a few times or it gets clumpy but those two full coats of mascara are beautiful. This doesn’t smudge or wear away.

Removal is interesting. Since it’s a tubing mascara there are times it looks like I’ve released tiny spiders on my face but if I follow directions and do it correctly then it removes easily: soak a washcloth or cotton pad with your remover of choice. Hold it on for several seconds (I’d say 10) and then move the cleansing cloth down. It removes your mascara without smudging it all over your face.

Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is not only good looking but it’s good for your skin. Infused with two of nature’s most effective emollients, shea butter and castor seed oil, to condition lashes during wear.

EYE LIFT 360 WATERPROOF PRIMER is my second favorite. I always use an eyeshadow primer and I like to try as many as I can. This reminds me a little of Urban Decay Primer Potion but more the packaging than the way it lasts. My HG has always been Too Faced Primer Potion but Thrive is a close second. It is crease-proof, smudge-proof, and is a color-boosting canvas. I like using this on my eyebrows since powders often disappear. Eye Lift 360 makes the color last all day.

I apply it using the wand but then go over it with my finger to warm it up and let it set. Thrive recommends this for keeping your concealer on too though I haven’t tried that.

Sign up for their emails because they often have specials or free shipping. Right now they are only available on their website but there’s talk of them coming to Ulta in the winter.

What have you tried from Thrive? What do you like?
