New from Neutrogena: Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint, Concealer and Lip Shine!

Neutrogena has added several new products to their popular Hydro Boost line.  Last year they launched Hydro Boost skincare and now makeup! Neutrogena Hydro Boost products are hydrated infused makeup designed for a fresh, flawless look.

Let’s start with Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint ($14.99). This is an oil-free tint/foundation with hydrating hyaluronic acid to plump skin for up to 24 hours. There are few things that make this foundation special:

  • this is THE most lightweight foundation I have EVER experienced
  • it has a fluffy texture that feels like water when applied to the skin
  • it has a doe foot applicator (what the what)?

Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint is a fabulous find for dry skin. It has a sheer, dewy finish for a fresh, youthful look. The finish that won’t cover all imperfections but can be built up to medium coverage while still looking perfectly natural. I use two layers to cover my sun spots and redness. I use the doe foot applicator to dot on my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and then blend with my fingers. It stays put all day (I always wear a primer) and doesn’t change color or oxidize. There are 10 colors available, I used #30 Buff in these pictures but I have also mixed #20 Natural Ivory with Buff too. Pictured below are #10 Classic Ivory, #20 Natural Ivory, #30 Buff and #40 Nude.

Along with the foundation is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer ($12.99). Like the foundation, it too contains moisturizing hyaluronic acid. This concealer should have über or ultra in the name because this is the creamiest concealer I have ever used! I’m sure that it’s due to the special hydrating core. There are five shades available: Fair 10, Light 20, Light/Medium 30, Medium 40 and Deep 50. Light is a great match for my skin and it does a great job on the spots I want to cover up. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work so well on my crow’s feet–it tends to settle into my lines and then disappear. For those of you lucky enough not to have to deal with pesky lines around your eyes, this will work for you.

Neutrogena also launched the new Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine ($8.99) in 8 sheer, shiny shades. These are very moisturizing, non-sticky and feel super comfortable on the lips–they feel very smooth. I’ve found myself wearing them around the house this winter just to keep my lips from drying out. There are currently 8 shades available and I have 4 of them. They are fairly sheer, however, the deeper colors have nice color payoff. The glosses come with a paddle applicator, making application one-swipe easy. My only complaint is that the applicator is wider than the opening of the tube so you really have to push to get it back in. It’s certainly not a big deal but it can be annoying. Aside from that, I’m really crushing on these glosses: they are full of shiny goodness and mega hydration. I hope they add more colors soon!

L to R: Soft Blush, Pink Sorbet, Raspberry, and Velvet Wine

I haven’t but they sound very nice. I like “hydro” anything. The wine shade of the gloss is beautiful. And if I needed a concealer stick, I would definitely try this out.

  2. I love this launch. I use the foundation tint for no makeup makeup days since it’s so light but still gives good coverage

  3. Lisa Marie Heath says

Ohh these sound fab! Love those glosses and that red one is perfect on you. I tend to stay away from liquid foundations because it’s more coverage than I need, but this sounds more up my alley

  4. I would definitely try the lip glosses; pretty colors and my lips are always dry since I am a mouth open kind of sleeper at night.

  5. The hydrating concealers are perfect for the warmer days of the year. I would love to use it during the summer especially.

  6. I’m glad you got a variety of shades since I can now tell that Natural Ivory would work for me while Classic Ivory wouldn’t. Do you find that it has a fragrance?

  7. Travel Blogger says

I would really like to try the foundation. I use a lot of Neutrogena products, and I have always been pleased with them. I would love to wear a light foundation. I also wear a primer and sometimes it can feel like paint once I put on my primer and my foundation.

  8. i like the soft blush shade. it looks so simple and natural!

  9. Looks like a nice range of products.

  10. I’d love to try the Hydrating tint! But I will be able to check all of those, I might try. Hope it will suits well with my skin.

  12. Annemarie LeBlanc says

I don’t wear much make up but those hydrating lip shines are awesome! I will get some for myself, my daughter and my niece. Thank you for the review!

  13. Hannah Marie says

I honestly do not know how to put make up, I usually use some lipstick and powder if I really need to. I have dry lips so I would want the hydrating lip shines.

  14. Wren LaPorte says

I have never tried Neutrogena’s makeup line. I use a lot of their beauty care stuff, so I may have to give it a go. Those colors look great on you!

  15. I absolutely love Neutrogena! I’m not surprised that they came up with yet another amazing line of products. My favorite out of the hydrating concealer and lip shine would have to be the lip shine, since it would cure these dry lips of mine!

  16. I love their makeup remover wipes but haven’t tried this hydro boost yet. We have beauty products in the drugstores but not makeup though. I wish to try some of their makeup. I heard many good things about it.

  17. I can’t stand for my lips to be dry. I’d really like to try some of the Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine. I’ve used their products in the past and was always pleased.

  18. The hydrating tint looks absolutely amazing for people looking to move toward something sheer–your swatches have my attention! Awesome look–these products seem to really allow your natural beauty to shine!

  19. I haven’t trued the new products yet, but I may look into the concealers!

  20. These sounds really promising! I really should check out the concealers.

  21. I love their products! I definitely want those lip shines!

  22. Miki Nyckel says

Bloody hell I wish this stuff would come to Canada. We have all the other Neutrogena stuff, just not the makeup. Grrrr. I want to try this cult status goodness. I may have to suck it up one day and pay shipping from Amazon, if I can get it to ship here … maybe…

  23. Those lippies look incredibly juicy and hydrating. However, they suck in the foundation range department. They’ve never released a foundation for those of us with darker skin. Booooo.
