Osmosis+ Colour Lip Gloss in NEW Shades!

Matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks had their moment and brands are going back to glossy lips and I couldn’t be happier. I much prefer a gloss over a matte lippie for us older women. Matte lips settle into lip lines, are drying and are just not that flattering to older lips. Glosses are more moisturizing, make lips look fuller and don’t emphasize fine lines.

Here at Prime Beauty, we love the Osmosis brand so I was thrilled the try their new lip gloss shades.  So much so that I kept them from our lip product aficionado, Blythe. Sorry for holding out on you Blythe.

Both of new shades are perfect for summer and will carry you into fall.  Bellini is a happy, sun-kissed orange while Primrose is a vivid medium pink. They are opaque in one swipe with a glossy shine.

These mineral-rich glosses feature 3D pigments for juicy, plumped lips while nourishing ingredients like sunflower oil and jojoba oils will keep your lips soft and hydrated.  There is a tiny bit of stickiness but nothing that will have your hair sticking to your mouth when the wind blows. The texture is smooth and creamy and a tiny bit thicker than some glosses. The thickness is what gives these glosses such beautiful saturated color.

The doe foot applicator has a slit in the center which helps deposit the rich color and glide on the lips. These glosses don’t settle into lip lines and have good lasting power. Normally non-sticky glosses require constant reapplication, but these stick around longer than most–I can get 4 hours out of them before they lose their shine.

The glosses are scented: Bellini has a grapefruit scent and Primrose a strawberry scent. Once applied to the lips the scent disappears so if you are sensitive to fragrance, you should be okay.

Both of these lip glosses are juicy and shiny. Bellini is ideal for those bronzy, summery looks and all the warm-toned eyeshadows that are so prominent on the market right now. Primrose is a warm medium pink–a perfectly fresh, everyday summer shade.
