Osmosis Polish Enzyme Firming Mask

Osmosis is a brand we know and trust here at Prime Beauty. It’s highly unusual that a skincare company can branch out into cosmetics and still continue to make wonderful products in both categories, but Osmosis has done just that. Today I have a review of the Polish Enzyme Firming Mask ($50) to tell you about.

Polish is Osmosis Skincare’s delicious cranberry enzyme-smoothing, peptide-firming, antioxidant mask.  It’s a mild, exfoliating mask that gives the skin a smooth, healthy appearance with each use and is Vegan and Gluten-Free.

Polish is packed with cranberry enzymes to gently remove dead skin from the surface, without removing the vital lipid barrier or damaging the deeper levels of skin. With 1% CoQ10 and Lactic Acid, this mask is the perfect alternative to an invasive peel.

Using fruit and other gentle enzymes, Polish is designed to remove only the exfoliating epidermal layers by primarily leaving protein (keratin) and minimizing lipid removal. In addition, Polish provides a gentle firming effect, helps with smoothing out fine lines and brightens hyperpigmentation. Skin is left soft, gently exfoliated, and with a beautiful healthy glow that lasts for several hours. It makes my skin feels so soft and supple!

Use this power player 1-2 times per week on your forehead and cheeks for a glowing, even skin tone. Polish is the perfect replacement for harsh scrubs which can spread bacteria, irritate and inflame the surface of the epidermis.

Unlike some other scrubs, this gentle facial polish contains zero physical exfoliants. This is important to me as I’ve aged. I don’t like scrubby beads or sand-like particles that can irritate or even worse, damage my thin skin. It instead has a silky, gel-like consistency. Cranberry is the first and primary ingredient, so the natural fruit enzymes do much of the exfoliating work. It also contains lactic and gluconic acids, which are alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that clarify and reduce fine lines and hyperpigmentation. Don’t be scared when you put it on, your face will look red but that’s just from the cranberry–it doesn’t sting or irritate the skin, promise. My skin does feel firmer after using Polish and I hope to see more improvement with continued use.

Tips & Tricks: Keep your lips plump and healthy too! Lightly massage Polish onto dry, clean lips. Let it sit for 1 minute then wipe away with a warm wash cloth. You can also use Polish to treat your heels, hands, elbows, and knees.

Directions: Apply a thin layer to a clean face 1-2 times per week. Leave on 5-15 minutes, then I use my Makeup Remover Cloth to remove, then rinse with warm water.

Polish is perfect for us over 40 beauties! Do you have a favorite face mask?

  2. This sounds like a great mask.

  3. I can use this on my lips? I didn’t know that. Thanks for the tip. Osmosis makes great products, I’ve yet to use one that I didn’t enjoy.

This sounds like a really incredible polish/mask combination! I love Osmosis, and completely agree with your assessment that they make both exceptional skincare and makeup. I have been using their products for years, and have yet to be disappointed by anything that I have tried from them!

  5. I like using enzyme scrubs too, they work better for me than just plain physical scrubs.
