What does a self-professed lippie junkie do when she discovers a new can’t pass up brand? She forgets her no buy and picks up some Pinkie Swear Clip Paints & Clip Gloss. After all, there is still plenty of time left in the year to resume my no buy. At least that is what I’m telling myself.
Meet Pinkie Swear
I came across Pinkie Swear during my IMATS adventure. I couldn’t resist the beautiful bold lip colors and unique pen design of the products. Although I told myself I would just look, I was taken in by the brand and the blendability of their Clip Paints & Clip Glosses.
Founded by a team of LA artists, Pinkie Swear is all about high impact style. All of their cruelty-free products are made in the USA from only the highest quality of ingredients. Their philosophy, “your makeup should be a masterpiece.”
Clip Paint & Clip Gloss
As I said above, the Pinkie Swear booth caught my attention for several reasons. For one, their name alone is genius. Secondly, I find the pen design of their lip products both unique and functional. Though there are other lippies that click up, none of them look like an actual pen with a clip and smell like a creamsicle. Finally, there is Pinkie Swear’s color selection and formula.
I love a bold lip. No matter what time of year, I want my lip color to make a statement. So naturally, I bought a Pinkie Swear Clip Paint, $18, in Jpeg, Loft Party and Plan B. I also like my lips to sparkle, which is why I also choose their Clip Gloss, $18, in Lo-Fi.
- Lo-Fi – cool-toned lavender with metallic flecks
- Jpeg – hi-res coral
- Loft Party – a bold, lilac purple
- Plan B – a half pink/half purple ultraviolet
Each Clip Paint, available in 10 shades, features an intense lip color that is also infused with moisture. The sheer and shiny Clip Glosses, available in two shades, help add a prismatic look to your lips. Each time I wear my long-lasting Clip Paints or Clip Gloss my lips never feel dry, which is a huge plus for me. I also appreciate the precision brush applicator. It makes applying one, two, or three Clip Paints, or topping my lips with the Clip Gloss, very easy.
Of course, my absolute favorite thing about Pinkie Swear lippies is how well they blend together. This is actually what made me swipe my credit card at their booth. Seeing how I could create my own custom colors was a big selling point. I have so much fun mixing Jpeg and Plan B or Loft Party, Jpeg and Lo-Fi. There are so many fun combinations to create. I can go bold or keep on the lighter side of the spectrum.
By now it is probably very obvious, I’m a fan girl of Pinkie Swear. I’ve been mixing and matching my Clip Pants and Clip Gloss from NYC to Florida. I can’t wait to try their next inventive product, Party Powder, launching this month.
Which color of Pinkie Swear would you try first?
