If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times, we as women are not getting enough calcium in our diet.  Yes, yogurt, milk, and cheese do pack calcium, but not an ideal amount. A lack of calcium can lead to weak bones and osteoporosis. Women can start losing bone density as early as their twenties. Calcium is your best defense and also helps build strong teeth and nourishes your nervous system. Calcium may get most of the attention, but nutritionists will tell you that it takes more than calcium to maintain strong bones; it takes a healthy ratio of calcium to magnesium. CVS has you covered with their radiance PLATINUM Calcium Magnesium Citrate tablets. This contains no yeast, wheat, gluten, milk or milk derivatives, lactose, sugar, preservatives, artificial color, artificial flavor, salt. Vegetarian/Vegan formula. I take radiance PLATINUM Calcium Magnesium Citrate tablets everyday and you should start now!

Another common problem in women (which I have struggled with in the past) is Iron. Naturally found in a variety of foods, iron is a metal that helps promote red blood cell production. Lack of iron can result in anemia (a lack of red blood cells) and a weakened immune system. Vegetarian and vegans commonly take an iron supplement since they do not consume red meat. The recommended daily dosage for women is 18mg.

Vitamin D is somewhat of a miracle drug. Some doctors believe it can help reduce breast cancer by as much as 50%, and it may offer protection from both ovarian cancer and diabetes. Vitamin D helps calcium absorption and plays a central role in muscle function. Vitamin D can be found in milk, orange juice, and salmon but nowhere near enough. radiance PLATINUM Vitamin D tablets USDA organic. Certified organic. Plant-based, non-GMO.

As I age I am increasing aware of needing to replace essential vitamins and minerals that I am not getting enough of in my daily diet. radiancePLATINUM is an effective and affordable way to do that. What an easy fix to women’s health issues!

The multivitamin sounds like something I need to try. Is the calcium a chewable?

  2. Aleya Bamdad says

I seriously have to start taking vitamins. Maybe I’ll keep them in the office so that I don’t forget.

  3. I love finding new Vitamins to take, new brands and new types of vitamins!

  4. I take a daily vitamin plus hair supplements and fish oil.

  5. I should check this brand out next time I do a vitamin haul. I’m on a doc mandated 5,000 IU a day dose of D. If you haven’t had your level checked, do so, it’s crucial. 😀

  6. These sound like they’re really good for you. I take a hair supplement, biotin, women’s daily vitamins, fish oil and vitamin c

  7. I definitely take supplements though I’m not taking Calcium and I know I should I take fish oil, vitamin e, vitamin d and others.

  8. I take calcium, Vitamins C (colds all the time) and D and a general multivitamin with minerals as well. I need to incorporate cod liver oil in my routine.

  9. I wish we could get supplements like this at the drugstore here. All you find here are weak multivitamin tablets and some vitamins and minerals in ridiculously low doses.

  10. I’ve gone back and forth with taking vitamins – as a kid, I was forced to take many vitamins, so I grew up hating them! Now, in my 40s, I make sure I at least take a multi and calcium, but it’s still hard. It’s important to take a vitamin that really does have what it says it does, and that the vitamins are available for absorption into the body.

  11. Lisa Marie Heath says

I take a ton of vitamins and my son and I make it a family thing and take vitamins together. He use to hate taking them until I joined him and he saw mommy did it too

  12. I love taking vitamins! The ones I take I believe are called Olly.

  13. I’m so bad about taking my vitamins. I was really good about it when I was pregnant though.

  14. I’ve been really into supplements lately! These sound nice 🙂

  15. All good suggestions. I take all those supplements daily.

  16. I used to take fish oil all of the time.. I need to get back to it. There was a definite difference.

  17. FantabuLESS Life says

I too have started taking mulitivitamins on a regular basis since I turned 40 this year. Not only was a it a good thing, but my body really needed the extra supplements and I had no idea that I was not getting the vitamins that I needed until I took a blood test.

  18. Ourfamilyworld says

I am in my forties and I have been very diligent in taking my multivitamins daily. I take calcium and Vitamin C. I have seen this brand at CVS, but I haven’t tried it, yet. I will try this next time.

  19. Cynthia @craftoflaughter says

I haven’t seen this brand before but will check out my local store! I am pretty good about taking a daily multivitamin but I know I should probably take other supplements!

  20. Jennifer Juro says

I really wish I had been more aware of my nutrients when I was younger. I love to find new supplements that help my health and well being. I am hoping they put a CVS closer to us soon.

  21. I love that the info graphic breaks everything down. I knew a lot of it, but I guess I forgot how much vitamin D helps with bone and joints. Great reminders! And these supplements look like something to check out!

  22. As someone with an auto immune disease, I need all of the help with vitamins I can get. My biggest concern is the preservatives that are usually in vitamins and because I am on a restricted diet, I usually can’t have any of them. Thank you for telling me about this, although I am skeptical until I see for myself but I am excited to possibly have a place I can go get vitamins that even I can have.

  23. This is the first time I’ve heard of these products. I love that CVS has so many great options like this. The only thing I’m taking right now are my daily vitamins, and sometimes I forget to take those too. I know I should be taking more of these products like this. I’ll have to check more in to them.

  24. I do not take supplements but I probably should be. I am getting closer to 40 and I know that I don’t get all of the vitamins and nutrients that I need. I think I will have to check these out next time I am at CVS.

  25. Whenever I see the word ‘platinum,’ I automatically think that something is the best. I like products that make an effort to incorporate non-GMO, gluten free, organic and natural ingredients. You actually just reminded me to take my vitamin for the day.

  26. Angela Weight says

I definitely need to pay more attention to what’s going into my body. And I’m quite sure that I’m not getting the vitamins and other nutrients that I need. I go to CVS all the time, so I have no excuse not to wander over to the supplements aisle and start taking better care of my health. Thanks for letting us know about these.

  27. Rosanne Schloss says

What is the percentage of calcium and citrate in the radiance platinum calcium magnesium citrate? I take nexium and need the citrate so the calcium gets absorbed. Is this the right supplement for me?
