Rahua Color Full Collection

[maxbutton id=”2″ ]

I’ve been coloring my hair, at home or in a salon, since junior high school. Back then, it was to change up my natural hair color. Today, it’s mostly to cover grays and add more dimension. Occasionally, I also try a new trend, like rose gold or pumpkin spice. No matter the color or process, I always want to protect my hair and extend the life of my color. With the Rahua Color Full Collection, I can do just that and more.

About Rahua

The Rahua name comes from the Rahua oil used by women in the Amazon Rainforest. Hand derived from a nut, this luxurious oil has amazing restorative and nourishing properties for both hair and skin.  In addition to using Rahua oil, all Rahua products are formulated with plant-based ingredients that are vegan, non-toxic, and gluten, paraben, sulfate, and cruelty-free.

Rahua Color Full Shampoo and Conditioner

The brand was kind enough to send me the entire Color Full Collection, featuring the Shampoo, $38, Conditioner, $40, and Hair Mask, $62. As the name indicates, the Color Full Collection helps protects all types of highlighted and color treated hair.

The Rahua Color Full Shampoo contains Amazonian Rahua and morete oils, which nourish and strengthen the hair and scalp. In addition to the Rahua and morete oils, the conditioner also contains flaxseed oil and lilac clay. These ingredients help to reduce brassiness and improve shine and manageability.

Both the shampoo and conditioner are infused with gardenia, which gives them a slight floral scent. As someone who isn’t usually drawn to floral scents, I will say that I didn’t find the gardenia fragrance to be too overpowering. It disappears fairly quickly and doesn’t linger in your shower or hair.

I did struggle with using the Color Full Shampoo and Conditioner. While it protected my color, it also weighed my hair down. My scalp also felt oiler quicker, my ends felt drier, and my hair was harder to style. I tend to wash my hair every three days. However, when I use this shampoo and conditioner, I feel the need to wash my hair the next day.

Luckily, I was able to find a fix for the problem by washing my hair in reverse. Instead of using the Rahua Color Full Shampoo first, I use the conditioner. It makes a huge difference. I still get all the same benefits of the collection, without worrying about an increase in oil production or dryness. I highly suggest this technique if you have fine or oily prone hair like mine.

Rahua Color Full Hair Mask

In addition to the shampoo and conditioner, the Color Full Collection also features a Hair Mask. This creamy mask is formulated with Rahua and morete oil, as well as the brand’s exclusive color protection complex. The combination of these ingredients helps keep my color vibrant and improve its longevity. It also means my hair stays shiny, healthy, and strong.

Unlike when I use the shampoo and conditioner, I have no issues with the mask. My hair always looks and feels amazing, whether I leave it on for 10 or 15 minutes, as recommended. I recently added highlights to my hair, in addition to covering those grays, and will be using the Color Full Hair Mask to maintain my color. I like knowing I’m treating my chemically treated hair with some, all natural, plant-derived goodness.

  1. I remember reverse washing was a trend before. This line might be good for those with extreme frizz issues. I wonder what will be the effect on my hair.

  2. I have never heard of this product but I am always happy to find new ones that do work well.

  3. Thanks for sharing! I do the same washing in reverse too and it makes such a difference. Sometimes I even use only conditioner!
