Save Time with the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler

Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Paddle Brush Dryer Press Sample

I don’t know about you, but I’m not always a fan of the hair dryer. It’s tedious, makes me sweat, requires skilled hand/arm maneuvering, and doesn’t always produce my desired results. Seriously, why do my bangs seem to lay the opposite of how I styled them with my hair dryer?

I’m always looking for ways to cut down on drying time and improve the look and feel of my blow dried hair. Enter the Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler, $49.99. This handy tool combines the power of a blow dryer with the precision of a paddle brush. Now, instead of needing multiple tools to dry your hair and the use of both your arms, you only need the One-Step.

Key Features of the One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler include:

  • Powerful Hot Air – reduces drying time and exposure to damaging heat
  • Ionic Technology – improves drying time and creates smooth, frizz-free hair
  • Paddle Brush Design – easily detangles hair, while being gentle to the scalp
  • 3-Heat Settings – allows for customized drying/styling experience
  • Ergonomic Lightweight Design – makes it easier to dry/style even the hardest to reach areas

The One-Step definitely make styling the back of my hair less of a chore. It can be so hard to get the style just right in those areas you can’t really see. I did have some trouble getting to using it in the front and side of my head. Not sure if this is because I’m left-handed, or simply because it’s a new styling tool that takes practice.

The three settings on the One-Step performed exceptionally well and allowed me to adjust the heat and power to my needs. My other favorite features of the One-Step included the massaging ball tips, flexible brush design, and tangle-free bristles. They really are gentle to the scalp, don’t snag in your hair, and give you a nice massage while you are drying and styling your hair.

My only complaint with this product is the fact that it doesn’t help create volume. When I use a round brush and my hair dryer, or only my dryer, I can build-up volume in my hair while still keep it looking relatively smooth. With the One-Step, my hair was smooth and frizz-free, but very flat. Even when I used product, I could never really achieve any type of volume. I think the One-Step works best for anyone who is looking to wear their hair straight and smooth, or who doesn’t need extra help in the volume department.

Revlon One-Step Paddle Brush Dryer

Overall: The Revlon Pro Collection One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler, $49.99, is a truly unique styling tool. It helps cut down on drying time and reduce hair’s exposure to heat. While it delivers on its promise to create smooth, frizz-free hair, it doesn’t add any volume to your style. With Mother’s Day coming up, it would make a great gift for a mom who is looking to save styling time, while still experiencing lovely, sleek hair.

Have you ever used a two-in-one styling tool? What do you think of the One-Step?

  1. Wow, this is cool. I’ve seen them in stores before and were curious how they work. I air dry whenever possible but this may be great for some people I know

  2. Robin Rue says

I get keratin treatments, so I need a good dryer and flat iron. I use them almost daily!

  3. Allison @neversaydiebeauty says

The Revlon One-Step did a great job for you! I recently received a brush straightener, and I like it but it doesn’t save me any time versus my hair dryer and flat iron. The Revlon is definitely an advancement!

  4. WhispersInspire says

I have something similar and I love how easy a brush makes it. You look great!

  5. I would love a hot brush! I normally let my hair naturally but this would be brilliant when I am going out and need my hair to look decent!

  6. My hair is very fine and gets damaged easily when I use heat. I like that with this brush you don’t need to expose your hair to heat for a lengthy amount of time.

  7. Aleya Bamdad says

I’ve seen these at shows and wondered about them. It’s great that they work so well.

  8. This is a cool brush! It would make getting ready in the mornings a whole lot easier for sure! My hair is super fine and has a nasty habit of breaking. This, I do believe, will work for my hair not against it.

  9. My daughter would be interested in this. She was actually telling me that she needed a new hair dryer and this two is one is perfect!

  10. This is cool! I don’t need it at the moment but it would have been GREAT with my super long hair a few months back!

  11. I’m also not a fan, it takes so much time, really! I gave up using it a long time ago and just air dry my hair or use a fan, lol. This sounds amazing though, I love that there’s a brush attached to it, it’s just like using a regular brush so it’s easier.

  12. Winifred Jac says

I HATE blow drying my hair. I actually didnt even own one for almost 2 years. I just had to get one to get my daughter’s hair dry before bed.

  13. I can’t use this as a hair dryer but I like it as a styling tool when my hair is rid of most of the moisture. I was surprised at how heavy it is though.

  14. Now this would be awesome for anyone’s beauty arsenal. It would make morning prep a lot easier!

  15. My hair is a little fine and needs volume so this might not be the best for me. I think it’ll suit my sister better!

  16. Roxanne Ferber says

I’ve always wondered if these types of hair appliances work. I’d be willing to try this out! Thanks for sharing!

  17. TWO women behind me in ULTA the other day were buying this and they didn’t know each other lol It made me want to run back and get one but they bought the last two =(

  18. Debra Hawkins says

This looks awesome! I don’t usually use a hair dryer because it is a pain in the butt, but this looks like I might like it!

  19. Christine Cox says

Seems like something I should’ve came up with a long time ago. One of those “why didn’t I think of that” moments 🙂

  20. FabZilla_Kath says

I should keep this in mind. It’s pretty affordable too

  21. Looks like a pretty innovative product. I’m not sure if it will work for me.

  22. tiaras and tantrums says

oh now I think this would be perfect for my poofy hair! If you didnt’ get much volume – I would be happy with less – my hair is a big poof ball if I dry it with the hair dryer.

  23. This looks like good stuff! <3

  24. jillconyers says

This is such a cool product. It takes forever to dry my hair so I’m all for any way I can save time.

  25. I’ve tried this dryer. The first time, I hated it. It made my curls go POOF! I had serious fluffiness going on, and I couldn’t tame it for days. It works much better for me if I keep tension in the section I’m drying (like the comb-chase method for flat-ironing hair.)

  26. Looks like it would be great for styling straight hair. I like the idea of it being super light. My hair dryer gets so heavy.

  27. amotherworld says

Looks like a great product. I too don’t want to damage my hair by using to many heat stylers, so this looks like something I would use.

  28. Erin Shebish says

Oh, I wonder if this would work on my crazy thick hair. I typically let it air dry because it’s such a pain to blow dry but this could help for sure!

  29. Nicole Cochingco Escat says

I want that! It’s pretty cool I absolutely love it.

  30. Shannon Graham says

This styler/dryer looks like it would be so much easier to use that trying to use two hands and hold it just the way you want. I am going to have to give it a try.

  31. That looks really neat. This could save me a step, thanks!

  32. Well that is really easy! Back in the day, my mom had a round brush/hair dryer type thing. It was great for curls.

  33. Jamie Yonash says

I only blow dry my bangs, but this looks like an interesting and useful product! I have a ton of hair so I don’t need fluff, lol!

  34. MimiBakerMN says

No stinking way! I think my hair woes have been answered with this one beauty tool! I never seem to have enough time to dry and then style. I’m always last minute! Mother’s Day is coming up so I’ll have to hint to the guys.

  35. I’ve been considering getting a product like this one, since I HATE drying my hair. I also almost always use a flat iron.

  36. I literally just saw this product at target and wanted to come home and look it up on the internet! Im so going to buy it now! Thanks

  37. Lisa Marie Heath says

I’ve actually been wanting this pretty badly! I might have to grab it

  41. Stephanie Pass says

My teenager is dying for one of these. It looks so neat and easy to use.

  42. I have never seen one of these – love the combo of both! It might work well for my new hairstyle. Thanks for the review.

  43. Mardene Carr says

For the life of me I so not like hair dryers. I currently wear locks so I just let my hair dry on its own

  44. Toni Williams says

My daughter and I were just discussing this. Your post was right on time…I think I may give it a try!

  45. That looks KIND OF awesome! Will have to try!
