Even if you’ve spent the last few years on deserted island, you’ve probably heard all about the coconut hype. It seems this roundish, hairy fruit has magical powers for your skin and body. No longer is only for tasty tropical drinks or to mix with chocolate, but it also hydrates and restores moisture head to toe.

Jumping on the coconut bandwagon is one of my favorite more natural brands, Yes to. I’ve loved their Yes to Cucumbers line for years. I first stumbled across their new Yes to Coconut makeup removing wipes at Target, and then was introduced to their hand crème by YouTuber Trishalee from A Glittery Life. I loved them both.

I was excited to try some of their new Yes to Coconuts Face products, including the Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser, $9.99, Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer, $14.99, Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask, $15.99, and Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm, $15.99.

The natural formulation of the Yes to Coconut Collection combines the hydrating properties of coconut and avocado oils to help smooth dry and cracked skin, restoring it to its natural gorgeousness. Like all Yes to products, this collection is paraben-free, cruelty-free, made in California, and helps benefit the Yes to Seed Fund, which provides 50,000 meals to kids around the globe.

Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser – 4 fl oz, $9.99

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser

There are two cleansers in the collection, with the most unique being the melting cleanser. Unlike most cleansers the melting cleanser features a thick, gel-like consistency. It reminds me of coconut oil in its solid state, only not as greasy. First of all, the cleanser smells amazing, which is the result of ingredients like coconut, avocado, moringa, and olive oils, as well as banana, noni, and hibiscus extracts.

The melting cleanser can be used in two ways; by mixing the cleanser with water in your hands before applying to your face, or by applying the cleanser directing to a dry face. Because of the thickness of the cleanser, I found the second application method was easier to work with. Regardless of which way you use it, it definitely feels like dirt, oil and makeup are melting away from your skin, without stripping away moisture.

Ultra Hydrating Facial Soufflé Moisturizer – 1.7 fl oz, $14.99

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer

The moisturizer in the collection features a nice soufflé like texture. It’s thick, yet lightweight, which helps it easily absorb into the skin. Even though it’s made with virgin coconut oil, creamy shea butter, and jojoba seed oil, it doesn’t feel greasy at all. I really love this about the moisturizer. My skin felt instantly hydrated and moisturized each time I used it. I also noticed it prevented the dry, itchiness I sometimes get on my checks and lower part of my face during the dryer winter months from occurring at all.

My only complaint with the product is the price point. I feel it is a bit high for the amount of product you receive, especially for a drugstore brand.

Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask – 2 fl oz, $15.99

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask

One of my favorite products from the line is the facial mask. First of all, it provides my dry skin with a much-needed moisture boost, and secondly, you only need to wear the mask for a minimum of 5 minutes. Most masks I’ve used require at least 10 minutes, which sometimes proves to be too much for my dry, sensitive skin.

Like the other products in the Yes to Coconut collection, the Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask contains virgin coconut and avocado oils. Additionally, it also contains detoxifying natural clay, which means my face gets a detox and an injection of moisture in a few, short minutes. I did notice a slight tingling/burning sensation the first time I used the mask, but only on very dry areas of my skin. Though it was a bit uncomfortable, I felt like this was where the mask was working its hardest. The sensation dissipated the next time I used the mask.

Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm – .5 fl oz, $15.99

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm

My other favorite Yes to Coconut product is the eye balm. Not only do I have dry skin around my eyes, but I also have very sensitive eyes, with long lashes. Why is this a problem you might ask? Well, I’ll tell you. Most products I use, even those that claim to be hypoallergenic or suitable for sensitive eyes, still irritate my eyes. Once the product gets in my lashes, it is only a short minute before it gets into my eyes, causing them to burn and water. Good times.

The Yes to Coconut Eye Balm didn’t irritate my eyes as all. Although it is a thicker consistency, it melts into the delicate skin around my eyes with ease. After using it for about a week, my skin feels softer, smoother and less dry thanks to the combination of virgin coconut oil, shea butter, and argan oil.

Overall: If you have dry, sensitive skin you should resolve to treat yourself to the new Yes to Coconut Face Collection. It’s an affordable collection packed full of amazing 96%-99% natural ingredients that will leave your skin feeling hydrated and restored.
