Sky Organics was founded by Sara-Jade when she decided to create a healthy lifestyle fo her family.

“After looking at the labels of those supposed “natural” beauty products I realized I didn’t even know most of the ingredients. I said to myself, “I can make my own products with just a couple of organic ingredients that are more effective and safer for the whole family.”

‘”After extensive research, I found out that a majority of essential oils, body butters and carrier oils offered online “ere either processed, diluted or made in China – or the prices were outrageous for quality ingredients. From frustration grew my first business venture – three months later, with my husband, Steven, I launched Sky Organics. My goal is to offer only pure organic products with no added chemicals, at a reasonable price and that I locate directly at the source.”

I’ve been trying to include more natural products into my beauty when I can and Sky Organics fits in beautifully with this desire.

Sky Organics products are always handcrafted in small batches with ethical ingredients, love, and integrity. They use only natural, organic botanicals to nourish the body, skin and hair with vital nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, and essential fatty acids. The company strives to support small family farms that in return gives them the opportunity to share their best and purest products with their customers.

Sky Organics product selection includes carrier oils, essential oils, body butters, facial care, bath products and do-it-yourself kits. Sara Jade was kind enough to send me the Deep Moisturizing Sweer Orange do-it-yourself kit ($48.50). These kits are such a great idea, they contain everything you need to make several batches of products along with a recipe and instructions. Each ingredient is packaged separately so they can be used on their own too.

The Deep Moisturizing Sweet Orange Body Butter DIY kit contains:

Raw Mango Butter – Mango butter is extremely rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids. Unrefined mango butter is odorless. This raw organic Mango butter is cold pressed and unrefined to ensure all nutrients and vitamins are kept.

Almond Oil -this almond oil is hexane-free and cold pressed to retain all of the nutrients which are then passed on to you. This oil is sourced directly fro artisanal farmers in India. Almond Oil helps reduce bags around the eyes, repair damaged split-ends and cracked lips. It also makes a wonderful massage oil.

Sweet Orange Oil – also cold pressed, sweet orange oil is rich in antioxidants and antibacterial agents making it ideal for fighting the signs of aging. Orange oil is said to help boost your immune system and can even help ease cramps.

  • 1/2 cup Mango Butter
  • 1/2 cup Almond Oil
  • Combine over a double boiler until melted. Store in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours. Add 10 drops of the sweet orange oil for an invigorating and uplifting scent. Whip with a whisk or hand mixer until fluffy. Put in small mason jars with decorative ribbons and give as gifts or keep for yourself!

It’s quick and easy to make and smells delicious with the addition of the sweet orange oil. The batch will last a long time and it’s very moisturizing! I haven’t had time to make a batch yet, but will snap a few pics when I do so you can see the final product!
