I purchased this

Stila Nobility Palette

Recently I was very sick for about 10 days and could do nothing but watch TV and cruise the internet. During that time, I came across a 30% off sale at Stila and I purchased the Nobility Eye Shadow Palette $36.

When it arrived and I took a look and thought I must have been delirious when I purchased it. It looked like every other neutral eye shadow palette I own and I own a LOT of neutral palettes. I put it aside, promptly forgot about it, and took a nap.

Upon second look, there is an equal number of berry-type shades as neutral. Not so neutral after all and as Martha Stewart would say, that’s a good thing.

Part of Stila’s 2021 Summer Collection, the Nobility Palette consists of 8 matte and shimmer camo-inspired shades. The shades are:

  • Liberty – matte beige
  • Captivate – shimmery warm peachy gold
  • Hero – warm rosy pink with flecks of silver shimmer
  • Scout – matte deep pink/mauve
  • Thriving – shimmery vivid raspberry
  • Illusion – warm metallic rose gold
  • Ally – matte peach
  • Rumble – metallic vivid orangy/copper

The shadows are what Stila calls “plush powder” which to me should mean creamy and soft. They are indeed soft, but you get a lot of kick up in the pans which I’m not fond of. That’s why I prefer to apply with my fingers vs. a brush.

I do think this palette will be great for the summer months when you might want something pretty but effortless. For this look, I used Scout in the crease, Rumble on the lid as well as under the lower lash line, and Thriving on the outer corner blended into Scout. Liberty is on the brow bone. Not really neutral, huh?

The Stila Nobility Eye Shadow Palette comes in a cardboard compact embellished with a camo design with gold, pink, and bronze shades. The compact has a mirror and a magnetic clasp which I really appreciate.

Is this palette a must-have? No, but isn’t as basic as I first imagined. There are some pretty berry shades with a few neutrals to create a variety of looks.

What do you think of the Stila Nobility Eye Shadow Palette? Hit or Miss?
