By now you’ve probably either read a lot of reviews of Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette ($54) or purchased it. Urban Decay did a great job of stirring up a frenzy over the new Naked palette per usual. I have to say in this case, it’s all warranted. The Naked Heat palette is a warm mix of 12 all NEW amber hues like terracotta, copper, bronzed pink and brown, all my favorites and right in my wheelhouse. There are both matte and shimmer finishes all excellent quality with a creamy texture. I knew right away I needed this in my life.
I’m not going to bore you will a full review because you’ve probably already read a few and suffice to say Naked Heat lives up the stellar reputation for Naked Eyeshadow palettes.
Urban Decay says: The most shade-driven Naked palette we’ve ever done, this palette takes Naked in a whole new direction. From a super-smooth red-brown matte and a glimmering copper to a deep, shifty bronze, this palette has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks, intensely smoky night time looks and everything in between.
Every shade in Naked Heat features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability. Because with shades like these, you’ll want to blend the perfect sunset eye, and our formula makes it so easy to transition shades like a pro.
The shades are:
OUNCE (ivory shimmer)
CHASER (light nude matte)
SAUCED (soft terra-cotta matte)
LOW BLOW (brown matte)

Ounce, Chaser, Sauced & Low Blow
LUMBRE (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
HE DEVIL (burnt red matte)
DIRTY TALK (metallic burnt red)
SCORCHED (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)

Lumbre, He Devil, Dirty Talk & Scorched
CAYENNE (deep terra-cotta matte)
EN FUEGO (burgundy matte)
ASHES (deep reddish-brown matte)
EMBER (deep metallic copper-burgundy)
My niece was visiting from out of town when the palette arrived so we both dug in and had fun playing with it. She did a more brown look and I did a more orange look. I may be biased but I think my niece looks like an Italian movie star and can you believe she just turned 50???! That’s what taking care of your skin and staying out of the sun can do plus she’s got my good genes too–haha!
Here is her total look using the Naked Heat Palette and Both Fuel and Heat lipsticks. She used Fuel first and then dabbed a bit of Heat on top. Read my review of the Naked Heat Vice Lipsticks here.
As for the eyes: Chaser all over the lid, Low Blow in the crease, Ember in the crease over Low Blow. Scorched on the lid, Ashes on the outer lid and into the outer crease. Too Faced Bulletproof Shadow Liner in Dirtbag under lower lash liner with Ember over it. Too Faced Bulletproof Shadow Liner in Purple Rain on outer lash line with Ashes over it. A dab of ColourPop Nillionaire (gold sparkle) in center of lid, L’Oreal Voluminous eyeliner upper waterline, Too Faced Bulletproof Shadow Liner in Dirtbag lower waterline.
My eye look: Ounce on browbone and as a base all over lid. Lumbre on lid, Cayenne in crease, Low Blow as transition between the two. a dab of Scorched in center of lid. Dirty Talk under lower lash line. Black liquid liner on upper lash lash and waterline. Divaderme 3-step lash extender system for lashes–review coming soon.

They have such beautiful shades. For me scorched and en fuego are the most stunning colours, what a great palette x
I like that it has matte and shimmer shades for more versatility.
That’s a gorgeous palette. I love the Scorched. I wonder if it would look good with my skin tone?
I’m fair and it looks great, but I also think it ill work on darker skin tones too.
I have seen so much hype about this palette and I can see why as the colours are so useable. When I’ve used up one of my palette’s I might have to give this one a try x
It will become part of the permanent collection so you can pick it up later.

Very impressive. Your niece is beautiful. I’d use the shades she did since I find that the oranges can be hard to pull off.

This palette looks so good. I think it would be great for day or night wear. I have been yearning to get my hands on Urban Decay. Its a bit hard to come by in India.
I love the colors of this palette! The warm tones look so good… I was disappointed in my naked 3, everything looks muddy on my skin. Thanks for sharing the new one!
